Students or Bar Percentage Points?

It has been reported that at yesterday’s Dean’s Coffee, Dean Anderson stated that she would consider changes to the academic standing policy that were symbolically important to students.

She qualified her statement by saying that with such a small number of students who take the bar exam, each student is one percentage point or more in our bar passage rate. As such, she would not support any change that would actually keep students at the school who would, by today’s policy, be dismissed, because it would reduce our bar passage rate. She also stated that most faculty members are coming from the same place.
